As the development of the broadband communication and software radio technology, the broadband antennas have been paid attention by many scholars. Several conformal broadband antennas are studied in this paper.First, three log-periodic antennas that attached to the missile shell are designed in three bands0.4-3.6GHz,2-8GHz and8-18GHz respectively. The measurement results are shown and have a good performance. Also the effect of the metal in the missile shell to the antenna VSWR are studied, and it is found that the conformal antenna is more susceptible to the influence of metal objects inside the missile shell, and it is more obvious at the low frequency. Then, a log-periodic antenna with a fractal structure is designed in0.9-2.6GHz band, and the prototype was made. The test results show that the VSWR of the antenna are remain basically unchanged, and the size of the antenna reduced to85%of the original, which means that this antenna is suitable for the conformal design. Finally, a wide slot antenna is simulated by Ansoft HFSS, and it is produced on the PCB. The experiment results show that the antenna has a good VSWR, radiation pattern and gain characteristics. The wide slot antenna can be used in satellite communications and other applications.
