As an important way of jamming in the ECM, frequency-shift is usually implemented to jam MTI, MTD, PD, SAR and IS AR in the two dimensional false target jamming of distance and speed. With the continuous development of the ECM technology, frequency-shift technology is constantly developing, as discussed in this paper, baseband mixing, phase-shift modulation and IQ modulation.The multi-carrier signal frequency-shift mainly discussed in this paper contains two parts:multiple frequency-shifts of the single-carrier signal and various different frequency-shifts of the multi-carrier signal. Because each frequency-shift modulation occupies one device, multiple devices must be used for multi-carrier signal frequency-shift by the traditional methods, which undoubtedly increases the complexity of the frequency-shift system. Based on this problem, a new method is presented in this paper:IQ modulation of multi-frequency NCO.Firstly, basic principles of various frequency-shift methods have been introduced in this paper, the implementation schemes and the system block diagrams of which have been discussed. Then the simulation and analysis of different schemes have been carried out, compared the advantages and disadvantages of which, this paper highlights the IQ modulation method of multi-carrier signal frequency-shift using multi-frequency NCO. At last, the applications of the multi-carrier signal frequency-shift technology in the ECM have been presented.
