Event monitoring is an important application of wireless sensor networks, themain problem facing the sensor nodes susceptible to monitoring the environment andits characteristic, resulting in often report the error message, the asynchronous natureof the different nodes to collect observational data will cause the time delay. Inaddition, the node’s own energy limit event monitoring applications of wirelesssensor networks faced a big problem. Study a high accuracy and low-power eventmonitoring algorithm is the work of this paper. When the observation node foundthere were event happened in monitoring area of users care about, to need to beobserved the abnormal data transmission to the sink node, by sink node forprocessing. Before transmission data to the sink node, first of all in the internalnetwork data aggregation can effectively reduce the energy consumption of thenetwork. Research a suitable event monitoring data aggregation algorithm is anotherwork of this paper.This paper briefly describes the network architecture, characteristics andperformance evaluation of wireless sensor networks. Then introduced the eventmonitoring algorithm and the key technology of wireless sensor networks-dataaggregation technology, and pointed out the presence of these algorithms limitations.In response to these limitations, this paper presents the improved algorithm.Event monitoring is divided into two stages of data observation and datatransmission. In the data observation phase, use the spatio-temporal correlationbetween observed data of nodes monitoring event. According to data correlation ofthe observed data of nodes that same distance from event source establish a ring eventmonitoring model. First of all, use the temporal correlation between the observed dataof single node to remove temporary abnormal data. If is continuity abnormal data,then use the spatial correlation between circle nodes to make judgment. On the spatialcorrelation judgment, using mobile agent to avoid direct communications betweennodes can reduce network energy consumption. The simulation results show that, if the event of user concerned about happened, this event monitoring algorithm cantimely and accurately report.In the data transmission phase, the first in network internal data aggregation,reduce network energy consumption. In this paper, we consider the correlationbetween the observation data of the circular nodes, different nodes observational dataaggregation results support degree the spatial correlation. First distributed mobileagent I to each node to obtain observational data composed of the observation datamatrix, the use of Dixon guidelines deal with the gross error and calculates nodesupport degree, and then distributed the mobile agent II carry the support degree ofeach node to the node weighted to get the final data aggregation results. Thesimulation results show that, the algorithm of data aggregation result that higheraccuracy and lower energy consumption.
