Nowadays, agricultural information technology keeps on the high-speed, development. However, many problems arise in the agriculture technology, such as, mass production data, environmental data, test data, etc. In order not to waste these agricultural data, it is important to extract information for the better service of agricultural application in time. So the application of data mining technology is developing in this demand background. The research knowledge has applied in the decision support of information economy areas, and gradually been widely used. According to the development background of three dimensional rural issues, agricultural resources management becomes an important content of rural construction in China. Therefore, the DSS of rice growth supervision is a powerful tool of agriculture. By using data mining technology, the hidden laws are mined in the DSS of rice growth supervision. The knowledge of production strategy is provided for rice cultivation and management, thus ensuring the efficiency and sustainable development of rice production, and more importantly, looking for a new breakthrough for scientific research.Based on the characteristics of Shanghai area, the DSS of rice growth supervision develops an expert system of rice cultivation and management by existing mature cultivation technologies and modern information technology. Aiming at the sustainable development of agriculture, a variety of scientific knowledge is integrated, such as computer, management science, agricultural engineering and so on. The unstructured or structured decision problems are reused in the rice production and management. By using the mining technology, the scientific data, like environmental data, production data and empirical data, are to define the problems, identify models and support decisions.This paper studies the information data of Shanghai8000rice varieties in rice cultivation and management according to the data accumulation in past years. By using the data mining technology, a whole process of data association analysis is completely implemented, including the determination of data mining object and target, the process of data preprocessing technology, such as data acquisition, data integration, data cleaning and data conversion. According to the unique characteristics of rice varieties, and the association and discreteness of classification in the agricultural production and management, the C4.5algorithm of decision tree is chosen to generate decision tree of classification. Finally, the decision tree generates classification rules to complete the construction of data analysis tree model of rice varieties in the production and management. Several laws of the characteristics of rice varieties are mined in the rice cultivation and management. The knowledge of production strategy is provided for rice cultivation and management, thus ensuring the efficiency and sustainable development of rice production, and having a positive meaning in providing reference for rice research, gene and genetic research.
