Nowdays, wireless sensor networks(WSNs) has been a quite valuablemeasuring tool. It is composed by lots of micro, inexpensive and energylimited sensor nodes. These sensor nodes connect and communicate with eachother through multi-hop wireless communications in order to collect, processand transmit data in their coverages. Whereas, those sensor nodes are verysmall in size and they can only be battery powered. What‘s more, theuncertainty of the harsh environment brings great challenges to the real-timedata transmission for the sensor nodes. Therefore, how to improve the energy efficiency, the node‘s life cycle aswell as the instantaneity of information transmission are key problems that areconfronted by wireless sensor networks.Data transmission among WSNs has always been an efficient way toincrease the energy utilization efficiency for sensor nodes. It is also one of themajor functions of wireless sensor nodes. With the development of WSNs,WSNs has been widely implemented into various kinds of areas. For instance, large amount of sensor nodes are deployed in Smart Grid in order to collectdifferent kinds of parameters for environments and devices to completeremote error detection. In remote medical systems, patient‘s body informationare collected by sensor nodes and transmitted to control center. We can inferthat data transmission as an important research topic will have a wideapplication potential and study significance in the future.Besides, multi-channel allocation in WSNs especially for reasonableallocation used to decrease the collision among sensor nodes and increase thenetwork capacity as much as possible is a hot research topic in recent years. What‘s more, Game Theory as a quite efficient decision making tool has beenintroduced into the communication area in the most recent years for providingrouting and data flow control solutions. Therefore, there are two major study items included in this paper. Thefirst one is cognitive data transmission and the second one is multi-channelallocation methods based on Game Theory. For cognitive transmission, this paper trys to analyze the data featurecombined by real application environment and classify the collected data intodifferent priority levels based on different importance for the control center. Then we design and come up with a reasonable transmission protocol toensure those most important data be transmitted preferentially and reach theSink node with the smallest delay. One of our main targets is trying toimprove the transmission efficiency of the most important information anddecrease the spectrum conflicts during channel allocation. At the same time, the utilization of the spectrum can be highly increased. And about multi-channel allocation, we try to introduce Game Theoryinto the multi-channel allocation in WSNs based on the study of GameTheory and the characteristics of multi-channel wireless network. We designproper channel selection protocol with Game Theory to ensure themaximization of each node‘s utility function. At the same time, this protocoltrys to make the whole network reach a stable situation through theintroducing of a punishment function during game playing.
