The Method Of Host IP Outflow Estimate Based On Initiative Probe

The IDC (Internet Data Center), is to meet the website system custody outsourcingservices and infrastructure construction demand. IDC in addition to providinginfrastructure, also provide operation server system all kinds of services by rent networkresources to offered users. At present, China has millions of IDC users, and there are anumber of potential customers as well as agents, wholesalers and many other kinds ofpartners, but the backward network management method has become the bottleneck ofIDC business development, which is unfavorable for the operation and maintenance of theIDC platform standardization management. The paper analyzed the advantages anddisadvantages of current net flow capture method proceed with the network dataacquisition method of IDC system and put forward a host IP outflow rate estimate methodbased on active detection upon the idea of active detection, active analysis andconsumption reduce. The method achieves the goal of network data acquisition, accuracy,timeliness and low cost of new generation of IDC system.The host IP outflow rate estimate method based on active detection uses ICMPprotocol of TCP/IP protocol family. As a platform of acquired data detection, the methodrealized the telecommunication of host through the reflection request and responsesprovided by the ICMP protocol and achieve the ultimate traffic data acquisition throughtimes of detection data and statistical operations. In this way, the host IP outflow rateestimate method based on active detection achieved the purpose of resources conservation,flow consumption reduce, easy to deploy, easy to operate and host data security, which thesix currently used host outflow estimate method do not attained. Simultaneously, thismethod can be easily transplanted to IDC system and improve the ability of network dataacquisition and network management.The basic conclusions obtained in this paper was as follow：it was proved on the research that the host IP outflow rate estimate method based on active detection haspreferable ability to estimate the host’s IP outflow as well as to achieve the purpose ofsimple, easy to use, convenient and consumption reduce in the guarantee purpose underthe premise of host data security, and the method could be widely used in networkmanagement systems.
