In rural credit cooperatives, although a series of reviews and investigations hasbeen down in the loan process, the risk of loans still can not disappear, especially therisk of loans using the name of others. This phenomenon has reduced the creditquality of assets and has bad influence to the social. Therefore, one of the mostimport measures to prevent and control the credit risk is identify and close outgranting loans using the name of others.With deepening of the application of computer technology in the financialsector, banks becoming increasingly dependent on computer systems. High-techauthentication technologies (fingerprint, facial recognition, etc.) used in theprevention of the Bank credit risk is also increasingly attracting the attention of somefinancial experts and academics.Considered the risk existing in the loan process, this paper has researched thebasic principles of fingerprint identification technology and developed a loanauthentication system. This system is anchored in the core business systems throughstandard interfaces. The foreground programs and background programs are runningon Windows Server and Linux host respectively. The database uses a large-scalerelational database db2which effectively improved the speed and accuracy of thedata processing. In order to improve system security, we set application server andfingerprint server, which separate the fingerprint information and other informations.Considered the characteristics of the system portability, background programs usethe Java programing technology. Therefore, the loan authentication system of thispaper is established by the fingerprint recognition technology, database technology,middleware technology and network technology, which is separated from the corebusiness system of rural credit cooperatives. This system has good compatibility,scalability, stability and so on.This paper has applied the Fingerprint authentication technology to the entireloan process, which effectively avoids the phenomenon of granting loans toborrowers using the name of others. In one words, the application of the Fingerprintauthentication technology has greatly reduced credit risk and improved the quality ofcredit assets.
