Design And Implementation Of The Search Engine Based On The Vocational College Campus Network

With the rapid development of the computer network, each school has set uptheir own campus network, and the network information also grows. But people findthat getting information from the local area network (LAN) becomes more and moredifficult. Although there are many widely-used universal search engines, such asBaidu and Google, but they are not very good solution to the problem. One reason isthat, universal search engines’ coverage is usually not too wide, making it impossibleto search all the information in LAN. The other reason is that these commonly-usedsearch engine pages usually update slowly, causing the instantaneity and accuracy ofinformation can not be guaranteed. Therefore, in order to improve the searchefficiency of the internal information of LAN, this thesis designs and sets up a smallinternet search engine system based on LAN internal information retrieval.This thesis sets up a small stably-run network search engine system with goodperformance and certain expansibility, using Shandong College of ElectronicTechnology campus network as a platform on the basis of further study and researchof the basic principle, structure design and core technology of search engine. It notonly realizes the framework design of the entire small network search engine system,but also the basic development and test of the system.This thesis first discusses in detail the background and the domestic&foreigndevelopment status of the search engine technology, and analyses the demand of smallsearch engine system in school campus net, determining the system’s overalldevelopment goals. It expounds the functional demand analysis and nonfunctionaldemand analysis using the software-engineering-based method. Secondly on the basisof demand analysis, the thesis elaborates the overall function of the system, anddescribes in details from the functional and technical structure, verifying therelationship between functional modules and modules of the system, as well as theachieving Map Reduce distributed processing mode based on Hadoop framework, soas to improve the concurrent processing ability of the system and reduce the systemhardware configuration requirements. Then the thesis discusses the detailed design ofmain modules of the system, introducing the realization of testing of the main module,analyzing the test results of the system. Finally, it summarizes the overall situation ofthe system and make some suggestions for revision.
