Research And Realization Of Web-based Automatic Question Answering System

With the popularity of computer and network technology, network-basedindependent study has become another important way of student learning.Network Coaching Answering System is an essential part of distance teachingprocess and basis of student-oriented personal teaching. Is the effective wayto solve the shortage of teacher resources to meet the teaching answeringneeds.Pedagogical practice shows that understanding of courses by studentsgenerally has similarities and most of the presented questions are same onlywith different method of expression, which enable automatic answering a need.Automated answering systems are able to answer users’ questions in naturallanguage by giving a definitive answer in real-time.This paper research on subject-specific question automatic-answeringsystems. According to the structure characteristics of teaching contents, athree-tier index structure of the knowledge library is presented to improve theefficiency of search. Two modules with independent functions serve asanswering components, namely question process module and informationsearch module. Using Bi-directional maximum matching algorithms combinedwith statistical methods, Question Processing module segments users’questions, extracts keywords, etc to improve the accuracy of answers toquestions and laid a good foundation. Based on the first set of questions withthe main keywords and their synonyms, Information retrieval module retrievesthe answer set, to get the alternative answers associated with users’ questions.This paper focuses on following aspects: technology of Chinese wordsegmentation、technology of organization and construction of knowledge baseas well as technology of information search. In addition, we achieve certaininnovation in the Chinese word segmentation, knowledge base organization,etc. Experimentation is conducted to show that our system boasts sound accuracy and efficiency in search, satisfying requirement of distanceeducation answering and lives up to our expectation.
