With the development of wireless communication technology, peoplepay more and more attention to short-range wireless communication. Thedevelopment of mobile communicaiton towards on personal and minia?turization. As the person-centered short-range network, Wireless BodyArea Network(WBAN) has promising applicaions’in medical, entertain?ment, daily life, military and so on. The characteristics of WBAN aredirrerent from the traditional wireless sensor network. It’s faced to dis?tinct challenge’. The existing wireless technology cant meet the needs ofWBAN, so we need to focus on the characteristics of WBAN and re-designthe network.For the sake of the low-energy in WBAN, we take the node hetero?geneity into consideration and design a novel MAC layer protocol. Underthe master-slave structure, the protocol based on superframe and TDMAaccess control strategy. An adaptive slot allocation scheme is proposed.The scheme can make full use of the time slots while satisfying the delayand buffer requirements, and achieve energy eiffcient. In addition, takingthe packet loss into consideration, a time slot reservation scheme is pro?posed. It can achieve high reliability and low delay in normal and alarmconditions. Finally, based on the proposed scheme, we design experimen?tal platform, test and evaluate the protocol. The result show the advantages of our scheme.
