Design And Realization Of Process Engine’s Automated Testing Based On Workflow

Types of software at home and abroad are increasingly diverse and complex, whilepeople attach importance to the software quality more and more，long-term stabilitybecome the most important part what customer pay attention to. The testing requirement inthis trend has become more complex, automated testing is in this context. Automatedtesting can effectively compensate for the lack of manual testing, and provides an effectiveway to avoid manual intervention in the testing process, making test results more accurate.Automated testing get a strong guarantee for our software quality.Process Engine is the product of IBM FileNet P8, it’s for Business Processmanagement (BPM), PE integrate so well with external app and services. The realizationof business process management is based on the Workflow, Workflow is a series of distinctprogramming steps or phases. This research is based on the IBM FileNet Process Enginetesting analysis，the entire test process is executed automatically by BPMFramework.BPMFramework is designed by IBM mainly for the PE automated testing. Throughresearching this automated testing framework BPMFramework grasp the entire testingprocess, make efforts to design a flexible, simple and reusable test Framework.In this research, Through Workflow design and the management, the test points of theProcess Engine automated testing can be understood well, set up all the test cases andthen integrate them to the BPMFramework, in combination BPMFramework testingprocess on various versions of the Process Engine automated testing, we find that the testcases can work well under different systems, databases and platforms. At last，wesuccessfully make a cross-platform，reusable and simple test Framework based on theresearch of Process Engine.
