The Multi-Replica Strategy Research Of Cloud Backup System

The development of information technology makes data become more and more important to enterprises,and data loss will bring huge loss to them.Meanwhile explosively increasing of data makes big pressure on data storage of enterprises.Cloud backup system which provides data backup and restore service for users can solve data storage and protection problems for enterprises.While built with large numbers of storage devices in network,the reliability of cloud backup system is a big problem because of more common device failure.Based on a cloud backup system named B-Cloud and its deficiency of reliability in storage,we reformed B-Cloud with a multi-replica strategy.The system will produce a few replicas of every data object by a kind of transport chain and distribute them on storage devices according to device load.When restoring the data,system will choose a proper replica to provide the service.The system will also reserve a periodic synchronization thread to manage replicas,when the number of replicas of any data object is less than ideal number, the system will repair replicas of that object,which will reduce the possibility of data loss,and increase the reliability of storage of the system.With experiment and simple theoretical analysis,we find that new system can manage replicas effectively.The storage reliability is rapidly improved in some degree theoretically.And because of multi-replica strategy,the performance of the system has some decrease but the load of storage devices has a good balance.
