Beamforming technology as an important branch of the field of array signalprocessing has been applied in more and more areas,including radar,communications,geological exploration,astronomy,and biomedical engineering. It relies on the signalsamples are collected by the array antenna in space spatial filtering of the signal, playingan effective suppression of noise and extracting the desired signal. As traditionalbeamforming technology limitations in the ability of anti-jamming and extract the usefulsignal more and more people began to focus on the more flexible efficient an stableadaptive beam formation algorithm.The paper is based on the basic principle of beamforming array antenna model, theproduct of the pattern principle. Traditional beamforming and adaptive beamformingoutput expression is analyzed theoretically, and a brief introduction to several basicadaptive filter optimization criteria. Through the list of comparison, analyzes thedifferences and connections between the various criteria.Then, based on a uniform linear array, the array element spacing and number ofelements affect the performance of adaptive beamforming. Simulation results show thatthe element spacing is too large or too small will cause distortion of the pattern and theemergence of grating lobes, and the critical value of the line array which array elementspacing of the grating lobe. With the gradual increase in the number of array elements,the width of the main lobe gradually narrowing and a slight increase in peak, slightlylower sidelobes, the graphics resolution is more obvious.Finally, the maximum and minimum interference suppression than the quantitativeanalysis of anti-jamming performance advantages of adaptive beamforming algorithms,and compared with traditional beamforming algorithm. It can be seen from the derectionthat they are anti-jamming capability of the adaptive beamforming algorithm more aboutthe improvement of about10dB sidelobe depression, the nulling deepening effect ofabout40dB improvement, anti-interfere with the performance of the significantlyenhanced.
