Research On End-to-end Voice Encryption Technology Over Mobile Networks

The development of mobile communication, make the public enjoy the conveniencesuch as cell phone, mobile internet, multimedia; at the same time, the information securitybecome more and more severe. As the most important service, the security issue happensin the voice communication needs more attention. The encryption algorithm of the mobilecommunication system can not keep the voice communication safe. So, research theproject which can provide end to end voice encryption is of significance.On the basis of analyzing the security issue in mobile communication system, thepaper adopted a kind of encryption progress to make the end to end safe, which canagainst the lossy compression used in the mobile communication system. On the basis ofanalyzing the voice communication and AMR coding theory, the encryption algorithmneeds to meet the demand: the encrypted voice should meet the input requirement of thevocoder, make sure the compression will not destroy the data consistency, the encryptedvoice will not touch off the VAD, then the paper finished the needs analysis of theencryption algorithm and rose a new encryption algorithm which based on the frequencydomain scrambling for voice. The improved method provide more security and betterdecrypted voice, which is applicable to3G mobile communication.Made use of the method encrypt the voice in transform domain, and test the effectagainst the AMR encoder, which shows not bad.
