In recent years, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is an advanced and populartechnology for automatic identification and the Internet of things. Many companiespopularize RFID systems for convenience in management systems. As the limitation of theLF and HF RFID technology appear increasingly, the UHF RFID is gradually becoming hotfield of study. In this thesis, we focus on reduce its costs and improve its security.Physically Unclonable Function (PUF) is a function that is embodied in a physicalstructure. It is one of the latest authentications in semiconductor security. PUF is a siliconbiometrics technology, a type of electronic DNA in each IC. It extracts unique“secrets”from each IC, and these secrets are used to authenticate ICs. PUF uses a challenge-responseauthentication protocol in which one part presents a challenge and another provides a validanswer to be authenticated. In this thesis, we forus on the sensitivity of the cost and security of the UHF RFID tagimprove the anolog circuit of the chip, design and fabricate the Schottky diode in standardCMOS technology,A new type of voltage limiter was proposed and the bandgap structurewas improved. The PUF is used in the digital part of the tag chip, based on this, wecomplete the low cost and high security of the UHF RFID tag. We built the test platform forUHF RFID system and realize the comprehensive test of the chip.
