Study And Application Of Data Mining Technology In Personalized Service Of The University Libraries

The university library needs tostore an increasing amount of information,whichhas more types and forms．Demands of information and documentation become morecomplicated．To do a better library administration and provide readers with betterservice，we need to develop personalized information services．Personalized servicerequires the support of information on users’ interest and linkages between books，which can be gotten from the library’s daily operations data by analysis and mining．This paper describes the history and development of the personalized service ofthe university libraries, domestic and international research status，and analyzes thefeasibility and the futureof applying data mining technology in library．This paper isgoing to focus on how to find out the technique of cluster analysis andassociationrule．It puts forward the application model of the data mining in library whichbasedon the analysis of the present librarian—management system．The historical recordsof the books can be mined with the application of association rule in the librarymanagement system,and the personalized service for the readers can be achievedthrough classification mining and application of association rule result．...
