This thesis uses the modified relativity and local image inpainting to study theimage inpainting methods based on partial diffrential equations.Chapter1in this thesis gives a brief introduction to the background, historyand research status at home and abroad of digital image inpainting techniques.Chapter2introduces basic digital image inpainting techniques based onpartial differential equation, the relationship between image inpainting and visualpsychology, the basic principle of image inpainting, the mathematical descriptionfor image inpainting, the applications of partial differential equations in both imageprocessing and image inpainting, and two inpainting models based on partialdifferential equations, the TV model and CDD model, and analyzes theiradvantages and disadvantages.Chapter3introduces the concept of relativity, and establishes the modifiedCDD model based on relativity. The experimental results show that the model gets abetter restoring result than that of the CDD model. After many experiments, this thesis alsogives the condition of using the method given in this chapter.Chapter4gives the concept of the modified relativity, presents the local TVimage inpainting model based on modified relativity and the local CDD imageinpainting model based on modified relativity, and generalizes these models fromgrayscale image inpainting to color image inpainting. The experimental results show thatthe model given in this chapter gets a better restoring result with less time-consumingcompared with the existing models.
