In recent years,international environment is continuously changing,and terrorism is occurring uninterruptedly in many countries,the means of crime are also becoming more shifting and variable,therefore,the safety is becoming more and more importance. X-ray equipment has already been approved to have the ability to acquire the character of numerator or atom inner,and inspect contraband well.The paper is based on dual-energy X-ray security equipment for material identification methods for effective research.First,comparing the advantages and disadvantages of different X-ray inspection technologies by studying the X-ray inspection technology, then confirm the dual-energy X-ray on the practical situation.through dark scan,air scan, regulation tests,we have tested about the L shape detector’ability thoroughly and analysised the performance of the detector to see if it meets the demands to detect.This paper is to study the material classification and identification.Classify the materials into organic、inorganic and mixture by efective atomic number. Thro ugh the relevant rules, find two boundary materials for object classification,then a single line scan experiments substances, collecting data and fitting the curve. Then test the veracity of the models by some definite materials.The paper design an extract R(directly related with the amount of effective atomic number)vaule algorithm,taking into account the complex background.Finally,the use of wavelet transform and image segmentation algorithm,the images will be collected for denoising and segmentation,curve fitting will be compared with the precision of a single substance.Finally,experimental verfication,online scan experiment,a single substance of the highest accuracy.This paper introduces the wavelet transform and the content of image segmentation algorithms, the purpose is to improve the classification accuracy of the material.
