Research And Implement Of Single View Metrology

The image records object distribution and their spatial relationships. It has become a human knowledge of a data source. However,3D space imaging to2D image scenery is a degeneration process, because when a three-dimensional object projection to2D image, the3D information or depth information is compressed. Currently, ways for image acquisition present a diversified tendency without getting innerior or extrior camera parameters, and the free of beforehand control of photography baseline between images from different sources greatly increase the difficulty of the stereoscopic vision applications, such as feature point matching, camera self-calibration and other processes. The measurement technology based on single image just takes use of geometric features in single image to avoid classical problems in stereo vision such as eature point matching and camera self-calibration, appearing an important trend for image measuring development.The main contributions are as follows:(1) Multiple geometric measurement methods based on single image. The existing image geometric measure singles method, design geometry measurement process image geometry information and measurement information interaction methods to realize all kinds of single image geometric measurement methods; Proposed the geometric measurement method baseds on circle.(2) Design interactive interface for prototype system:this dissertation designed two kinds interface for users. One is for choosing different geometric information and demand information, the other is for extracting geometric information. The first kind interface represents many groups for single view metrology, and also many geometric information users wanted. The second kind interface show the steps for suitable methods, which offers guide for users who do not know the details of algorithms.(3) Implemented the prototype system of single image geometric measurement catering to structural scenes. This system concludes following functions:extraction of geometric features, inbound and retrieval of prior knowledge, distance measurement for single image with different geometric characteristics, and calculations for other geometric information etc.As characterized by its non-contact and universality, real-time and repeatability, image measuring gradually becomes one of the important methods for man-made features measurement. It can provides decision supports for criminal investigation, traffic accidents, digital urban management,3D reconstruction of ancient building, emergency rescue and other fields.
