Analyses The Traditional Media And Network Media Reported Celebrations Framework

In recent years, there are more and more celebrations held in our country, such as the2008Beijing Olympic Games, the200960th anniversary parade, the2010Shanghai World Expo, the2011Shanghai World Swimming Championship and the2011Shenzhen World University Games. Thisseries of large-scale world events lead a continuous report boom to the news media.In these events, the2010Shanghai World Expo is another focus after the2008Beijing Olympic Games to the news mediafor its new significance. Usually, these events always plays an irreplaceablerole in our human historyin developing the traditional national culture, highlighting theregionaleconomic characteristics,promotingthe exchange ofinternal and externalregions and impelling the social development. As animportant part of the celebrations, the opening ceremony has its own unique significanceand value. Itis not only a starting mark ofthe whole event, but also an important platform for audience to receivethe information about the celebration directly. To thesix-month long2010Shanghai World Expo,the opening ceremony played an important role. Naturally, it attracted the attention of the global media,andboth ofthe traditional media and online media were focus toreport it.Today is an age of advance media, and the information technology makes it more convenience forpeople to get information from the internet. And the position of the traditional media is seems to bereplaced by the online media and various kinds of other new medias. However, some people are stilldependent on the traditional paper-based media. In this study, the framework theory is employed toanalysis the traditional media and online media both in commons and differences based onsummarizing the reportedliteratures. The sample for the study is the news reports about the openingceremony of the2010Shanghai World Expo by People’s Daily, Xinmin Evening News and TencentNews, from April16,2010to May15,2010and the total time is one month. The goal is to find out themedia framework characteristics and laws of traditional media and online media respectively. And tryto find out the prospects of cooperation for them in common. So as to make futureresearch anddevelopmentrelatedto trace contributions.
