Application of virtual reality technology in digital platform on the Moon, digitalMoon development toward the simulation restores the Moon. Some companies andresearch institutes have developed out of a number of three-dimensional virtual Moonproducts, with the Google Moon and NASA’s World Wind for representative. With thedevelopment of the moon detection technology progress, moon exploration imageresolution gradually improve. How to load and display the latest gained highresolution images on the platform is a problem to be solved.G/S module as a new spatial information service cloud module is able toefficiently solve the organization and management problems of massive, isomerousand multi-sources spatial data, thus realized the polymerization of the spatialinformation service. The Geographic Information Browser of the digital moonplatform based on G/S model was developed on the basis of the open-source WorldWind. The basis of its data comes mainly from China’s Chang’e moon explorationdetect data, and the goal of ie is to establish China’s own, controllable, andservice-oriented architecture lunar spatial information service platform model.The construct of the digital moon platform based on G/S model is based on data.The realization of the virtual the moon is a key research point of the full month imagedata demonstrate. Based on one aspect of the point, this study selected the’Chang’eII’ all month image as data base, and doing research on layered and sliced technologyfor the image according to the pyramid structure model of geographic informationbrowser. After doing innovative research on the layered model of geographicinformation browser, the layered structure of the other existing similar software, andthe existing slice and compression method, this article achieved two achievements asfollows:(1) Design a hierarchy of ’Chang’e-2’50m resolution images of the full month,that meet the requirements of geographic information browser. Hierarchy of geographic information browser is using the pyramid model, which uses the latitudeand longitude grid divided sphere, and the tile block specifications for the square, thisleads to trouble for image layered. According to these characteristics, the studydesigned a set of reasonable layering scheme, which makes the original imageinformation retained to the maximum.(2) Realized the slicing of the ’Chang’e-2’50m resolution images of the fullmonth. On the basis of in-deep research on the digital moon platform based on theG/S model, in accordance with the design hierarchy, use of the existing image slicingand compression methods, for improving efficiency and guarantee the quality ofimages, realized a multimachine parallel slicing method model,and use it completeslicing.Based on the achievements above, this article has gained two innovation pointsas follows:(1) Put forward of a layering scheme of the ‘Chang’e II’ all month image basedon G/S model. On the basis of in-depth study of the pyramid hierarchical modelcharacteristics of existing virtual moon platform,targeted the characteristics ofgeographic information browser, put forward of layered scheme for maximize ensurethe quality of the original image. When the original image is loaded into the virtualmoon platform, according to the demand of the setting of the products, the originalimage is almost impossible to lossless add on to the platform, and need to docorresponding compression on the image. Thus, the study complete design based onthis point, and effectively reduce the quality loss of the original image whendisplaying on the platform.(2) Put forward of a multimachine parallel image pyramid cutting method model.Improvement of computers’ computing power and algorithms’ optimization hadenhanced the slicing efficiency, but the stand-alone computing power is limited, theefficiency could’t break through too much, at this point to consider, designed amultimachine parallel slicing method model. Ensure that meet the requirements ofsection at the same time, with multiple machines biopsy, efficiency has improved alot.
