PMD camera is a three-dimensional imaging equipment based on TOFprinciple, This camera can capture gray image and depth image of the dynamictarget at the same time, it is better than conventional planar camera andmeasuring equipment. But it has the drawbacks of low spatial resolution. Forthe problem of low resolution of PMD camera which is based on TOFtechnology, this thesis is focus on super-resolution reconstruction algorithmresearch for PMD range image. The work of this thesis has importanttheoretical significance and practical value, the main work are as follows:(1)This thesis summarizes the background and the research status forTOF imaging technology and super-resolution reconstruction technology, andin the basis on analyzing the principles of the PMD camera, the relative theoryof the super-resolution reconstruction technique and the evaluation criteria ofperformance indicators.(2)According to the characteristics of the amplitude information of thePMD camera, Tikhonov regularization algorithm has been improved. Thisalgorithm uses confidenceA2as the weighted value of each range pixelvariance and ensures each pixel variance to obtain a reliable estimate. Theexperimental results show that improved algorithm can effectively improvethe spatial of the range image and better suppress noise.(3)On the basis of the existing MAP regularization algorithm, thisthesis combines the bilateral filter to the amplitude information characteristicsof the PMD camera, achieved an improved super-resolution reconstructionalgorithm. The experimental results show that the improved algorithm notonly improves the spatial resolution of range images, but also better restrainnoise and maintain marginal information of the range image.
