In the network and information technology is so advanced today, in the container yardmanagement, container still exists in recognition accuracy is low, the collision of databetween RFID and other issues. RFID technology is the use of radio frequency signals orelectromagnetic coupling through the inductor to achieve non-contact two-way datatransmission, in order to achieve target recognition and data exchange for the purpose of atechnology. When the scope of action in the reader memory in multiple electronic tags, it willproduce data collision problems.Now, the problems existing in the management informationsystem of the stack yard for railway container are as follows:1)prone to errors and lowefficiency for recording;2) low efficiency in identification;3)No or existing faultiness in thetreatment of the problem of electronic tags collision.According to to the problems in themanagement information system of the stack yard for railway container, an improved binarysystem algorithm for anti-collision was proposed in this paper. Meanwhile, a managementinformation system of the stack yard for railway container based on the RFID technology wasdesigned and implemented. The main researches are as follows:Firstly, all the existing binary system algorithms for anti-collision were analysed. Thenan improved binary system algorithm for anti-collision was proposed, and an example wasgiven. The performance of the improved algorithm was analysed in three parts, search timesof reader, data flow and throughput rate. The improved algorithm could decrease the searchtimes and data flow and increase the throughput rate.Secondly, a management information system of the stack yard for railway containerbased on the RFID technology was designed, including system modeling, architecture design,database design, function module design and graphical user interface design. The RFIDtechnology and improved algorithm were applied to the three modules including data processmodule, yard operation module and Gateway module.Finally, a management information system of the stack yard for railway container basedon the RFID technology was realized by the Visual Studio2008RealView Developer Suiteand SQL Server2005database, including designing system function module, database andgraphical user interface. This system provided a new way for resolving the problems in themanagement information system of the stack yard for railway container.
