Vector hydrophone is universally applied in the field of acoustic, and the corresponding signal processing technology has also become a hot topic. This paper studies the vector hydrophone array receiving and collecting system design and implementation, including design of the hardware platform and realization of the software.Hardware platform design includes a preamplifier circuit, analog receiver circuit, acquisition and control circuit, USB interface circuit and the GPS serial receiver circuit design. The first two belong to the analog portion, mainly aims to the original signal amplification, filtering, and adjustable gain. Acquisition and control circuit is comprised of the A/D chip, the main controller FPGA and its peripheral circuit. A/D chip has selected ADS8365, which makes the collection of the six-channel voltage signal simultaneous and high-speed. The FPGA is responsible for the system timing and control signals, and its abundant routing resources and high speed advantage upgrade the system. Acquisition system and host computer is connected by the USB, which makes the device portable, plug and play. GPS serial receiving circuit complete GPS module with a micro-controller or host computer serial port, which accesses to location information of the scene.The software part consists of four parts, namely, the FPGA software, USB firmware, the USB driver and PC application program design. FPGA software includes data acquisition and control modules, the interface design of the FPGA and the USB chip CY7C68013A in the SLAVE FIFO mode. The USB firmware program is the code running on the USB chip, and configuration related registers, with automatic data forwarding, make it work in the SLAVE FIFO mode. USB driver program is achieved by the calling of NI VISA configuration. Host computer application program is based on the Lab VIEW which calls the VISA node control, reads and writes USB uploaded data as well, and the program is converted, displayed and stored by channel.Finally, through the combination of the hardware and software which contributes to the testing of the system performance parameters, it is proved that receiving and collecting system design performs well just as it is expected. Signal conditioning, data acquisition, signal display and storage could be realized.
