In this dissertation, dynamic analysis is applied on a strap-down inertial navigationsystem(INS) by Computer Aid Analysis (CAE) which is based on the theory of FiniteElement Method (FEM). At the same time, the INS is also tested in modal experiment andrandom vibration experiment. Contrasting the analysis result with the experimental result, itgave some advices for modification on finite element model. The research is aimed in accordance with CAE and experiment result. The dissertation isstarted at the presentation of finite element method and modal analysis method. The researchis especially concentrated in the foundation of accurate finite element model such as boltedstructures, printed circuits and damping systems, by comparing and contrasting the analysisresult with the experimental result. And then, a more accurate analysis method emerged formthe analysis and the experiment. It solve a key technological problem of Computer AidDesign. It also discussed the problem of lineal-vibration coupled with angle-vibration. Foundout the position of the center of mass is the reason which causes lineal-vibration coupled withangle-vibration.The author has unique opinion on how to reduce design time and improve the qualityof the designation. It had been used successfully in one project. This dissertation hassignificant meaning and utility value on project. It will shorten design period greatly andguarantee the validity of designation.
