The RF power amplifier (RF PA) is an important part of the radio transmitters to provide a large enough RF output power for the transmitter. Nonlinear distortion is one of the important indicators of PA, be improved to a certain extent by some linearization techniques such as pre-distortion. In the broadband wireless communication systems, such as the third-generation mobile communication technology, WCDMA and fourth generation mobile communication technologies, LTE, memory nonlinear effect result in the deterioration of the technical effect of the pre-distortion linearization. The research on the memory nonlinear effects of the power amplifier is in its infancy by now, there are many related issues have not been resolved. The dissertation includes three key technologies.Firstly, the causes of memory nonlinear effects of the power amplifier are researched, and some mathematical models commonly used to describe the memory nonlinear effects of the power amplifier are summarized.Secondly, the performance of memory nonlinear effects of the power amplifier is presented; A simulation about the performance of memory nonlinear effects using the electrothermal model of the power amplifier by ADS is given.Thirdly, the measurement method of memory nonlinear effects of the power amplifier is studied.Ultimately, the dissertation finished the test circuit of memory nonlinear effects of the RF3133power amplifier.
