The ballistic missile target recognition is the key link of the missile defense system, in order to achieve a successful intercept in middle distance, accurately identify warheads, decoys and debris is very important and has an important military significance. In the middle of the warhead flight, its radar micro-features are an important basis to identify genuine and fake warheads. Studies have shown that high resolution range profile sequence containing the target micro-features, such as precession, swing, etc. Therefore, based on HRRP (High resolution range profile) studied the ballistic target radar micro-features, Extracted their precession frequency, dynamic angle and other parameters. Provide an important basis for the ballistic missile midcourse target recognition; the main content is as follows:1, Established micro-model of the cone of warheads and decoys, derived the formula of radar micro-Doppler theory, and compare the characteristics of a variety of ballistic target micro-Doppler frequency bandwidth, cycle and other parameters change.2, Based on ballistic target HRRP sequence, analysis of the ups and downs characteristic of ballistic targets the radar line of sight (RLOS), use target tracking theory and the moving target trajectory separation technology, separated and associated ballistic target scattering point’s position in HRRP sequence, obtain the scattering point RLOS ups and downs characteristic curve, solve the problem of tracking and movement overlap of the scattering point in the micro-motion.3, Based on the fluctuation property of scattering point on the ballistic targets in RLOS, proposed a method to associate each scattering point and its location on the ballistic targets. Derived the expression of the centroid RLOS projection distance calculations, and studied ballistic micro-frequency estimation based on MUSIC algorithm, This method compared to the traditional method based on distance-weighted, estimated accuracy and stability have been improved.4, Using a nonlinear least squares fitting the characteristic curve for the relative distance between the cone cutting-edge scattering point and the equivalent centroid RLOS ups and downs, on this basis, proposed the estimation method of a ballistic target precession angle, and compared with the method based on polynomial fitting, estimated accuracy is improved.The above methods in each chapter simulation links are verified to prove the correctness and effectiveness.
