With the development of communicaiton technology, more and more researchers focus on the LTE system. However, the LTE specifications are increasing, which has taken a severe challenge to the system power-consumption and up gradation. In order to speed up the software process in LTE system, OFDM technology in LTE is researched in this paper, then parallel FFT algorithm is researched and implemented on our built multi-DSP system. Two achievements have been finished in this paper. Firstly, we build a DSP platform, including the inter-communication among DSP kernels and DSP processors. Secondly, the parallel FFT algorithm is researched and implemented on the build platform.SRIO is a non-proprietary high-bandwidth system level interconnect interface for different processors and boards of high performance. Its speed can reach up to Gbit/s.This paper does some reaserch on inter-communication between DSP kernels with three metholds, IPCGR register, MSGQ module and EDMA3controller. Comparing the CPU cycles need of different methold, the EDMA3is the best when amount of datas need to be sent. EDMA3controller is not only with a high transmison speed, but more flexible. So it can meet LTE requirements. After building the platform, DIT-FFT of OFDM system is realized. Then parallel FFT algorithm is discussed and improved on MATLAB. In order to compare the advantages of parallel FFT, this paper tests the simulation efficiency of FFT on single core, two DSPs, two cores and four cores. The simulation results indicate multi-core systems can improve the efficiency of parallel FFT, especially for large point FFT, the improvement is more obviously presented.
