As a significant branch of network coding, physical layer network coding (PNC)causes much attention and becomes one of the hottest topics in wirelesscommunications for its theoretically high efficiency in data transmitting. Alien frommost of the other wireless communication techniques, PNC refuses to avoid inter-userinterference deliberately, but it makes good use of it. The interference gained in thefirst timeslot greatly improves the network capacity and transmission security in ANCsystem. Analog network coding (ANC) is such a type of PNC that no decoding isrequired at relay, and it rise through the ranks by its simplicity in relay algorithm andrelatively looser restrictions in synchronization.Up till now, researches on ANC are mostly focused on the theoretical methods forits implementation and joint network coding and ANC in two-user models. In thisthesis, solution for the implementation of a joint multi-user ANC and network codingsystem, in which quasi--static Rayleigh fading channel is applied, is proposed, andsystem simulation on this solution is also accomplished. In this thesis, multi-user ANC and channel coding are pulled together and acriterion on maximizing system throughput is used to deduce a power matchingstrategy suitable for our system, which can be divided into two parts--the inter-pair partand the inner-pair part. By applying the proposed power matching strategy into thejoint multi-user ANC and channel coding system, our system performs better. Moreover, for the purpose of making the system a step closer to reality, channelestimation, which is deemed as ideal in the first several parts of this thesis, is broughtinto use in Chapter4. The channel estimation results are used in both processes ofinterference cancellation and power matching. Moreover, the influence channelestimation error and closed-loop delay brings to system performance is also taken intoconsideration.
