Intelligent space is a complex system which is informatization, intelligentizeing, comprehending and decision-making control. The combining of smart space and service robot have improved the ability of the robot’s overall perception of the environment and perform tasks. This subject originates from a National High Technology Research and Development Program named Intelligent Space Technology and Robot Inspection System for Patients Wards Inspection. Based on the hospital wards inspection, a hospital wards inspection system for robot based on intelligent space is established in this thesis. With the application environment of Shan Dong University Second Hospital, a integrated management platform of ward inspection robot system had been implemented which was based on the technology of intelligent space. The main contributions of this thesis are shown as follows:The structure of hospital database had been designed for characteristic data in hosiptal intelligent space. The user information management table, the patient information management table, the ward patrol task management data table, the Ward patrol robot service information table and the hospital structure environment information table had been designed which were based on analysis of the hospital database structure. The physical design had been optimized for the apllication of database in hospital.The system of information transmission based on wireless network of intelligent space had been designed for characteristic information transmission in hospital intelligent space. The image capture and transmission between integrated management platform with ward inspection robot had been detailed designed, for that it is very important in information transmission in intelligent space. The comuication instruction of control and feedback between integrated management platform with ward inspection robot and sensor data had been designed for real-time information exchange in hospital intelligent space.The task of integrated management platform had been detailed planed for the task requirement of intelligent space. The intelligent space information model had been proposed by Bottom-up analysis methods. The process of transmission and exchange of the task information flow was analysed to generate the information flow diagram. A inspection task shcheduling algorithm of resource allocation optimization had been designed which was Based on the structure and characteristics of the integrated management platform task scheduling. It had effectively improved the efficiency of the patrol mission.The integrated management platform database table class had been abstracted for the features of ADO database development in MS SQL Server2000. The system structure and UI had been designed for the mission planning of integrated management platform in intelligent space. As a example of rotot inspects ward609, the characteristics of image transmission and application integrated management platform had been discussed respectively. The experiments demonstrated that the integrated management platform of ward inspection robot system could complete the task of management robot visit wards.
