E-mail is an important Internet service, which along with the rapid development of theInternet has been widely used. Every day a large number of private and commercialinformation on the Internet transmit via e-mail. However, there are currently several e-mailsecurity risks: faking identity, information tampering, information disclosure. According tothe problems, the authenticity of identification project of E-mail, by studying the variousverifiable "path trace " information of the typical e-mail on the path sent to be accepted from,developed the authenticity of identification software of E-mail based on the e-mail messageheader to identify counterfeit or e-mail is being tampered with.The support vector machine (SVM) is a kind of machine learning method developed onthe basis of the statistical learning theory. it can be applied to E-mail identification to improvethe E-mail security. The features of the quantitative in E-mail identification based on SVMand e-mail head are described in this paper. Among them, the strategy of the e-mail headfeatures quantitative, SVM type, the kernel function and parameters on (C, γ) choice is thekey of the effect to identify e-mail to use SVM. In this paper, the design rules of thequantitative email head features, SVM type, the kernel function and parameters on (C, γ)choice are detaily explained, and the experiment to identify E-mail based on the email headis corresponding with it.First of all, the authenticity of identification technology of theexisting E-mail was deep discussed in the paper, and the relevant knowledge field, such as,working principle of E-mail, email transfer protocol, e-mail format, e-mail coding technology,support vector machine, and the regular expression and is also deep studied. Then, the paperanalyzes the E-mail form of forgery, and puts forward the authenticity of identificationtechnology of E-mail based on the email head based on this, and then design the authenticityof identification software of E-mail based on this technology, and realizes it by coding.Finally, through the test, it is proved that this method identifies E-mail authenticity of highaccuracy, and the authenticity of identification of E-mail in daily life can be basicly meet. Thesystem uses the support vector machine, it has good flexibility and scalability.
