With the development of computer technology and internet wide range of applications, toimprove system services has become a new growth point for insurance companies to improveoperational efficiency and service levels. In the field of information construction, although thevarious commercial insurance companies concerned about the different areas of focus, theymostly focus on the core business systems and customer service systems for construction andrenovation. In this context, the author’s company raised the group insurance system upgraderequirements. On the operational side, it is to include the underwriting process managementinto business systems, thereby improving the efficiency of policy underwriting. On customerservice side, it is to promote the e-services and to provide policies for the insured customerinformation inquiry. This paper has designed a solution based on C/S and B/S mixed-mode. This programprovides an independent inquiry system for e-services. Its database makes a physicalseparation with the business system while using logical data replication technology to achievereal-time sharing data with business systems. In terms of security, due to the use of physicallyseparate databases, we exclude the interruption from e-sevice to business system. And we alsouse VPN technology to ensure secure transmission of data replication process. In terms of underwriting module, this paper presents a modifiable-rule-orientedunderwriting process management based on underwriting status change. It effectively definesthe control node of the underwriting process by the introduction of state variables. By theintroduction of the underwriting rules, the system succeeded in the automation of insurableanalysis and insurable checks generation. By the introduction of letter generation rules basedon the underwriting status changes, system succeeded in the automation of the letter printing.Because the rules can be modified, we retain the scalability. Meanwhile, the front desk systemalso provides the insured underwriter to record the underwriting case information, to enter theunderwriting decision, and to add the insurable checks and notification letters. As a result, system provides a full range of auxiliary to underwriting business. In the query system based on the B/S mode, we use a popular MVC architecture basedon Java EE design patterns in the structure, which separate coupling of the presentation layer, control layer, business layer and data communication layer, and succeed in the division offunctions from the Web system. In terms of inversion of control technology, we put thedependencies among the model, controller and view into a xml file to achieve low coupling. In terms of security, we use role-based access control framework based on RBAC0model, which achieve full security access control under entry-level, functional level and the requestlevel. In the communication process, we use SSL encryption protocol to achieve the securityof information transmission. In the research process, we take full account of system security and scalability, andeffectively guarantee the stable operation of the system. And we also provide a solid backingfor the next function expansion.
