One of the world’s most famous ISP flow management published "China’s Internet actual flow mode analysis report", which shows that the proportion of total Internet traffic flow is gradually increasing in P2P traffic stream; According to a January2012by the29times China Internet network development state statistic report data shows, the number of Internet users in China in recent years at the rate of6%increase. Campus network, which have been expanding more and more coverage groups, application deployment, more and more complex, has become the primary means of the teachers and students access to information, with who was significant proportion of the total number of Internet users. Campus network in addition to meet its traditional WWW, E-mail, FTP application, but also to meet the users of trying to expand on the Internet, for which data transmission put forward the high rate, low delay, low jitter and so on a series of higher demands business requirements. These new services put a higher quality of service requirements for the non-real-time data communication Internet.This paper is proposed to improve campus network service quality, through the research RFC2697and RFC2698defined a single rate three color marker token bucket algorithm and two rate three color marker token bucket algorithm two token bucket algorithm works and mathematical algorithm theory basis, according to the specific conditions of campus network, level of discrimination of different services has provided for different applications, improved the efficiency of the original token bucket algorithm, set up a traffic control system which based on the token bucket algorithm in the open source system.This paper starts from the background of the research topic, research situation and the key to solve at this topic, after analyzed the network in flow control technology and Linux kernel principle of Netfilter/Iptables framework of the working principle and TC module operation mechanism, the paper studies the key link of the system design--in the queue-port effective scheduling strategy. Then introduces existing token barrel technology and the difference between different token bucket algorithm defined in RFC and the token bucket algorithm to achieve in specific applications, to explore the key issues of the token bucket algorithm in network traffic control--token produce rate problem. On the basis of the above analysis, combined with actual situation campus network, the introduction of load measurement technology, special IP processing technology, difference strategy between rest day and working days, this paper describes the design of the network traffic control system, which based on the token bucket algorithm, and by simulation experiments, further verified the network traffic control system design is feasible.
