With the overall economic development, the process of urbanization continues to accelerate, and the continuous improvement of people’s living standard, a series of urban problems born out of a great deal of inconvenience to people’s lives. For example,most of the shopping centers concentrated into an area, bring a lot of pressure to this area of transportation, housing, while some of the facilities in other regions can not be brought into full play, which led to a waste of resources, another example of a regionalnear the school there are too many entertainment venues, will also bring some difficulties to the management of schools. Thus, a scientific, rational pattern of urban planning will often affect the level of the development of a city.Spatial data mining technology has been extensive research and applications to access the solve space of knowledge has a great advantage, but also to optimize the city’s new urban planning and construction of a viable new ideas.General the spatial co-location pattern mining is found concentrated in the spatial characteristics of the pattern frequently appear together, such as schools and residential space, usually adjacent relationship, they will most likely be defined as the co-location pattern. However, we only found two or more adjacent facilities, but could not find a certain area and adjacent facilities, will also bring some disadvantages to the building of the city, such as health facilities near the school, for some unexpectedevents will not be able to timely. Positive and negative space co-location pattern mining can find the positive mode and negative pattern to solve the general co-location pattern mining shortcomings in the use of urban planning.In this paper, we use the area map of Kunming as an example, select the eight spatial objects, through the positive and negative space co-location pattern mining algorithm, the set of parameter values, co-location rule mining under different conditions, the mining resultsextraction and analysis to understand the layout of the city’s facilities, to provide support for the government optimization in the city, the decision-making on urban construction.
