The rapid development of wireless communication technology makes people notonly satisfy with the speech data service business model, but the model withmultimedia service including speech, image, video, and data. With the appearance ofthese services, the radio resource and the spectrum resource turns to be shortage.Compared with wired channels, wireless channels are much easier to be interferedwith by Doppler shift, multipath effect, shadow fading and individual technology, and so that the wireless communication quality is badly influenced. Our paper isaimed at insuring reliable rapid transmission of multimedia data services by linkerror control technology ARQ. The key emphasis in our work is building mathmodels and making analyses according to different hybrid automatic repeat-requestprotocol under individual channel environment. And then get the influence of thesystem parameter by simulation experiment on the indexes such as packet meanservice time delay and the throughput. Our main content and innovation are located at Chapter Three and Chapter Four.Chapter Three is based on the operation characteristic of common wirelessequipment. It analyzes the data transmission performance of n-copy GBN-ARQprotocol under the susceptible environment and high packet error rate in TimeDivision Duplex (TDD) channel. And combined with the SR-ARQ transmissioncharacteristic, we put forward an improved n-copy GBN-ARQ protocol whichreduces the packet costs effectively. Next, we get the mean service delay of the twosystems by the M/G/1queuing model with vacations under TDD model. Thesimulation analysis based on the model shows the influence of the window lengthand copy number of the nGBN-ARQ system and nSGBN-ARQ system on the delay. And it proves in theory that the sending efficiency under the improved nSGBN-ARQ system is superior to the one under the nGBN-ARQ system, and thetransmission performance of system can be improved and can be applied to thewireless communication with complex environment. Chapter Four mainly analyzesthe transmission mechanism and transmission performance of the wirelessbroadband multi-media service in the MSW-ARQ system, considers thecharacteristic of unreliable wireless channel between uplink and downlink, andbuilds the packets arrival queuing delay model of M[x]/G/1. By selecting referencepackets we get the packet transmission probability expression in multichannelcommunication system by building steady state Markov Chain. On the basis of equivalent service delay thought, we gain the packet mean service delay ofMSW-ARQ system. Then in the fixed condition, we analyze the simulation of themodel, and get the influence of the channel number and condition variation on themean service delay of MSW-ARQ system.
