Mechanical vibration and rotation of the target may produce a modulation to theradar return signal, the phenomenon of the broadening of return signal frequencycaused by the modulation is called the micro-Doppler effect. The micro-effectprovides a new method to Target classification and recognition, and it has wideperspective so in recent years it pays more and more attention to the fields ofmicro-Doppler research. In this paper, it introduces the application background and the current situationof the laser micro-Doppler. And a laser coherent detection system, operating at1550nm and all fiber designed, is set up and a large aperture lens,200mm,is used tocollect scattered light. Using this system, it is studied of the micro-Doppler effect oftarget vibration and rotation and Obtained corresponding signal data. Usingtime-frequency analysis and multi-resolution wavelet analysis analyzed the data andthe result shows that Time-frequency analysis is effectively to the feature extraction ofmicro-Doppler signal of moving target. the different target cloud be identified andclassified by this characteristics. It provides a effective method to the featureextraction, classification and recognition of the target.
