Design And Implementation Of Paper Currency Sorter Control System

With the incensement of the requirement to the quality of RMB and the popularity of ATM, the banks need more sorters to process the banknotes. The main tasks of banknotes sorter incuse the classification of value and face of the banknotes and the new or old degree. In these processes, the machines have capability to find the false banknotes. However, the parts of these works are finished by artificiality. In order to overcome this question, the only way is to use the banknotes sorter.The banknotes analysis technique is the core part of the banknotes sort. The banknotes analysis technique has three parts. Part one is banknote image analyst, including image processing, the edge detection, features extraction, and classifier design. Part two is false banknote verification, including the features extraction and verification of spectrum image and magnetic signals. Part three is control technique for the machine, including high speed image sampling technique, hardware control technique and methods.First, the paper reviews the history and the current statement of the banknote analysis technique and banknotes sorter. And then, the paper discusses the methods of banknote image analysis, false banknotes verification, and the control of the machine. In the part of image analysis, the adaptive grids method is proposed to extract the image features, and the combination of distance and BP classifiers are used the recondite the value and face of banknotes. The experimental results show that the proposed methods can get the better recognition rate. In the part of false banknotes verification, the short time energy of magnetic signals is used as the signals features, and the dynamic time warp method is used to fine the false banknotes. The experimental results show that the methods are effective for false banknotes verification. In the last part, the control method is discusses. The state transformation method is used to control machine. And the two motor are condoled in order that the banknotes can run in the channel of the machine. These control methods provide the better condition for banknotes analysis.
