In recent years, each big operator in succession sounded" construction of all-optical network" horn, to the lowest net cost of laying a piece from the telecommunications room to the user’s home" end to end" all-optical network.One of the most fetching attention is the " last one kilometer" access, a variety of new technologies in CPN construction cut a striking figure, in this process, with PON as the core technology of FTTx gradually replaced the other mode, become the operator to push the main mode of network.According to the optical fiber to the user’s distance, FTTx can be divided into fiber to the curb (FTTC: Fiber To The Curb), fiber to the building (FTTB:Fiber To The Building), fiber to the user (FTTH:Fiber To The Home) and other forms of. FTTH is developing optical access network in final form, operator of the fiber to the home, by the optical network unit (ONU) connected to various terminal equipment, to provide users with a variety of telecommunication services. GPON technology is our country operators commonly employed techniques, relative to the other PON standards, GPON has many advantages.Based on PON technology are analyzed, compared the market advantages and disadvantages of several common PON, focuses on the commercial PON technology the most advanced GPON technical characteristics and the key technology; after analysis of the resident s two typical construction mode:FTTB, FTTH, in these two kinds of mode next, the resident network model to do a detailed analysis, design under the two modes of line segment model; then, in the study of different building types construction method based on different types of buildings, the permutation and combination, design of buildings in different groups of cases the construction mode and network access scheme; finally, through an engineering example, demonstrated in Internet access in the design of specific content, key index calculate way; at the end of the article, to the PON technology the development direction henceforth made a simple analysis.
