A Study On The Network Platform Construction Of Alashan E-Government

With the rapid development of information technology, E-government has been increasingly applied to many aspects of governmental management, and as the carrier of E-government, the network platform will directly affect the quality of service and application of e-government. In this paper, a study on E-government network platform is carried out at Alashan, which is located the west of the Nei Mongol.Based on the investigation of current situation and requirement analysis of Alashan E-government, network platform construction can be divided external and internal parts, which generates two completely separated network hardware platform. Such a design can meet the need of users, and guarantee the principles of reliable security, easy maintenance, and smooth upgrade. The integration of external network is to transform standard export in different departments of major building, while the construction of internal network is to reach interconnection among the government, its subordinate departments and some economic development districts.In the process of implementation, a three-level network structure is used due to its advanced stability and high reliability, in which the increasing or decreasing of access terminal does not directly change the core equipment. In addition, a high-performance firewall is set between the routers and LAN in order to isolate and protect the equipments of internet and LAN, as well as other terminals and servers.Through the construction of E-government network platform, many functions can be achieved, such as query, browse, search, publishing and sharing of government information, and data exchange, video conference, IP voice calls and so on. Each terminal in internal LAN can access general information on the network platform, and can further check some special information under authorization.Due to the late beginning and the limitation of development of Alashan E-government, some projects which has been implemented are merely preliminary, and it is far behind the overall requirement of national and regional E-government development. Therefore, there are still a lot of works to enhance the capability of Alashan E-government application.
