With the rapid development of modern information technology and the widespread use of the Internet, the data resources of network information system are growing rapidly. Now the NAS (Network Attached Storage) system has become the mainstream storage way of the small and medium-sized enterprises. While there are some security risks in the IP-based NAS system:NAS storage system’s data resources are easily stolen and monitored in the stored procedure and during the transmission of data resources between client and server-side. To solve this problem, this paper analyzes the possible security problems of the system on the basis of exploring the NAS system architecture and operating modes, and researches the NAS system’s security encryption based on elliptic curve cryptosystem (ECC) by working on the encryption scheme. It also puts forward the elliptic curve encryption scheme from the perspective of ECC theory, determines the parameters selection rules by studying the elliptic curve discrete logarithm problem, and improves the m-ary and NAF algorithm of elliptic curve scalar multiplication through comparatively analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of several scalar multiplication algorithms in ECC system. The Simulation experiment shows that the improved algorithm can increase the ECC efficiency. This paper gives the corresponding agreement and algorithm to the NAS system based on ECC security model, provides two-side authentication to prevent forgery attack, and ensure the security of stored data transmission so as to achieve the purpose of improving the storage system security.By means of relevant experimental tests, this paper verifies the enforceability, reliability, data confidentiality, and security of NAS system. After testing the performance of I/O throughput, average response time between NAS systems loaded the security module and the unloaded security module, it proves that the impact of NAS systems loaded security model on I/O throughput and the average response time is little. The average response time of NAS system based on ECC only increases about8%, and the throughput decreases about7%.
