In the21st century target location technology in wireless sensor networks plays an important role in many fields such as military and civil ones. With the fast development of the national economy and the requirement of the future high-tech local war, the technology will be more and more important. Target location is one of the hottest technologies in which many scholars in the world are doing researches. The content of this thesis belongs to the study of target location technology in wireless sensor networks, with its focus on computing method of target location technology in wireless sensor networks as well as the achievement of monitoring and location system in war fields.In the thesis, the author discusses some basic theories such as the technology of wireless sensor networks and target location algorithm and analyzes some typical algorithms which need or needn’t distance measurement. A low-cost and low-power-consumption locomotive anchor node accessorial location algorithm and a centroid algorithm are introduced into the application of monitoring in war fields. When locomotive anchor node accessorial location algorithm is used, the target location becomes more precise, the time for the layout is shortened and the cost of the system is also reduced.
