The RF receiver, as an important part of wireless communication system, can extract information from the electromagnetic signals which are detected by the antenna unit, and be used in the fields of Satellite Communications, radar, guided weapon and mobile communication. With the development of wireless communication technology, the demand for excellent talent in RF field is increasing. It can improve the practical ability of students though the combination of theory and RF train-instrument, as well as deepen the understanding of the classical circuit. This research based on the design of RF teaching-experiment platform is significant in practice. This paper is mainly based on the design of the main modules of RF receiver including RF-filter, LNA and local oscillator. The design of transmitter of the RF train-instrument is introduced briefly at the last of the paper. In the part of receiver, the basic theories of filter are introduced at first, with the theory the schematic and layout of a hairpin band-pass filter and an Elliptic Function Low-pass filter are designed respectively with the assistant software ADS2008, after that some testing results of the filters are displayed in the context. The design of local oscillator base on the phase-locked frequency synthesis, and the VCO circuit is designed in Seiler-Structure. The initial parameters of LPF are calculated with the assistant of ADIsimPLL software, and the testing results of phase-noise are displayed in the context. In the part of LNA, the output network is designed in conjugate matching type and the input network is designed in noise coefficient matching type. At last the test results of the receiver are analyzed.
