Compared with the traditional contact ways of life signal detection and processing, radar based non-contact detection way has many advantages, such as long distance detection, long term monitoring by avoiding the limitation of the electrodes or sensors. Therefore non-contact radar life signal detection and processing has a broad application prospects in many fields. However, life signal such as respiration signal、heartbeat signal are very weak generally, and have a non-stationary feature, making their detection and processing difficult.In this dissertation, we adopt non-contact manner based on Continuous Wave(CW) radar to detect the respiration signal, including the extraction of single person respiration signal and the separation of the mixed respiration signal of two persons.In single person part, first of all, according to continuous wave radar life signal detection principle, we establish the extraction model of respiration signal, and then build the extraction system in LabVIEW, including the design of two-level filter and respiration rate calculation module, finally, the measured data acquired by the system verifies the effectiveness of the system to extract respiration signal and the accuracy of the respiration rate calculation.In two persons part, on the basis of single person system we establish the mixed respiration signal extraction model of two people by using blind source separation (BSS)method, then we run the simulation test to extract the two persons respiration signal by means of the kurtosis switch and natural gradient BSS algorithm, and the result shows that both BSS algorithm can separate the mixed respiration signal of two people, finally, we build the respiration signal extraction system of two persons, and by analyzing the measured data we verify that the system can separate the mixed two people respiration signal, and we obtain the waveform and rate of the respiration signal.
