Intelligent vehicle,also is called as wheeled robot,most suits in the environment which these human beings are unable to work,the technology can be applied to unmanned vehicles,unmanned production lines,warehouses,service robots,aerospace and other fields. As the major achievements in the field of automation of the20thcentury,robotics and human society has been inseparable in production and daily life. Therefore,in order to let the intelligent vehicle in the bestcondition the further research and improve its speed and direction control is verynecessary.This paper details the intelligent car hardware system and soft system design. Themain control system using stc89c52microcontroller core can be used C, C++andassembly language programming. System hardware, including power modules, motordrive modules, tracing the sensor module, sensor module and the mechanical obstacleavoidance system design. In tracing the sensor module in order to improve the detectionrange of the infrared sensor, we take the pulse light approach, using PWM to control thesensor launch tube on and off. In order to obtain high transient current at the same time,so the average current does not exceed the limit current sensorThe major work of this dissertation includes the following aspects:(l)Analyze the key technologies of automated guided vehicles,conduct in-depth study of the kinematics characteristic of differential drive steering mechanism.(2)Develop system hardware circuits and control software. Hardware circuitpart of work includes hardware design of main control unit,sensing unit,motor drive unit and power unit; control software part of work includes the realization ofvarious modules function and motion control.(3)Discuss the control principle and algorithms of path identify,locate andsearch control in the area of motion control. Aiming at the motion characteristicsof Automatic Guided Vehicle,Apply improved integral separation PID algorithmto guidance motion control. (4)Build test platform and make motion contro1test running. Test the guidance motion speed,correcting capability and actual operating results of path searching and obstacle avoidance functions. Finally,the test results are analyzed in depth.
