Electronic horn in the car is a very important part of the quality, so it will have a direct impact on the car’s brand image. Nowadays, domestic and foreign to the vehicle electronic horn production, mostly by hand glue on line insulation protection. Manual adhesive is easy to produce coating uneven, insulating glue overflow electronic circuit boards and other issues, toxic glue on workers health have great damage. This paper expounds the four DOF SCARA robot platform for automatic coating control system hardware and software development process.In this paper, based on the design of the SCARA robot automatic coating machine control system, analyzed the SCARA robot transmission principle and its kinematics analysis. According to the automatic coating robot control requirements and performance indicators, the proposed automatic glue robot control system and functions of each module, the control system uses DRC and Japan’s Mitsubishi FXl series PLC as the core of control system integrated control, DRC receives the robot arm position sensor and from the PLC control signal, through the system operation, analysis, thus drive and control the robot each axis servo motor, PLC receiving a signal from a DRC, according to the input channel to send coating manipulator various operation conditions, a system capable of automatically according to design before good control procedures, to receive information data processing, analysis and calculation, and the result is transmitted to the robot hand, decide whether coating manipulator.Automatic control system with DRC and PLC as the control core of typical mechatronics control system. It can according to the different needs of users, for any complex curve adhesive task, and in practical application in large increase productivity, improve product quality, reduce the labor intensity of the workers.
