In order to reconstruct digital signal, we have to follow the Nyquist Sampling Theory according to the traditional idea, which means the sampling rate has to be larger or at least equal to twice of original signal’s maximum frequency. However, the emerging Compressed Sensing theory brought us a fantastic idea:By means of the optimization algorithm, most of sparse signal can be approximated by high probability with only a few samples which greatly reduce the Nyquist Sampling rate. Moreover, the collection and compression of the data can be achieved at the same time through a random measurement matrix.This emerging therory breaks the traditional rules of data acquisition, which has great advantage for the hardware resources conservation. At the present stage, Compressed Sensing has been widely applied into Image Processing, Pattern Recognition. Telecommunication and other fields, furthermore, it has already got amazing breakthrough in signal research fields. In this paper, the Compressed Sensing theory has been applied into image encryption and communication transmission. The main parts of the paper are listed below:1) The Image Encryption algorithm based on Compressed Sensing. In Compressed Sensing, we have to know the random measurement matrix in advance in order to reconstruct digital image. Therefore, we could make this random measurement matrix as a private key which can perform the encryption and measurement at the same time.2) The blocked Compressed Sensing reconstruction algorithm. First, we experiment the OMP reconstruction algorithm, and analyze the experimental results with different sampling rates. For the purpose of improving the reconstruction algorithm’s computing time, we also tested the blocked Compressed Sensing reconstruction algorithm based on OMP, the experimental results indicate that the blocked Compressed Sensing reconstruction algorithm greatly increase the efficiency of image reconstruction,3) The application of the Compressed Sesning image encryption algorithm. In order to verify the above Image encryption algorithm in reality, we make use of a UDP transmission channel, which can establish the host to hosti communication. At sender, we send the encryption Image which is encrypted by the above algorithm:at the receiver, the received encryption Image is decrypted with OMP reconstruction algorithm. Experimental results indicate that the above encryption algorithm is feasible.
