Wireless sensor networks(WSN) uses wireless communication technology and is composed oflarge number of tiny sensors which have functions of perception, wireless communication, informationprocessing. WSN can be applied to military and civil fields such as military affair, medical care,environment monitoring, space detection, disaster rescue and so on.Target localization and target tracking is the research focus of WSN technology, the researchhotspot of which includes: reducing the energy consumption of WSN and prolonging the whole life ofWSN; improving the localization precision of nodes; increasing the authenticity of target motion track andthe responsiveness of mobile target tracking.This paper detailed introduces about the present research situation and significance home andabroad of target tracking algorithm. Based on present practical application situation and the motion featureof maneuvering target, this paper builds a energy perception based tracking model, which combines motionlaw forecasting with energy perception of the node with the continuity of maneuvering target motion andthe principle of dynamics. This paper improves the energy perception based target tracking algorithm andthe specific research tasks includes:(1)The paper studies the single target tracking algorithm at home and abroad. And discusses thenode awakening problem in the process of tracking and the dynamic update issue of the tracking region.Besides, the paper realized the target position forecast of the no-cooperate type. In order to solve theproblem of a too large tracking region, the paper calculate the maximum area a target can possibly reach byconsidering the target’s speed, it’s acceleration and corner. With this foundation, the tracking region isoptimized.(2)This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the target detection and localizationalgorithm in present mobile target tracking technology and optimizes the tracking area. According to thecombination of WSN tracking model and energy perception model, this paper put forward a energyperception based target tracking algorithm.(3)In the light of the present practical application situation, this paper builds a mobile targettracking model. This paper combines motion law forecasting with distance measurement with the continuity of object motion to put forward motion track forecasting algorithm, which is free of additionalhardware support and is strongly adaptable.(4)Based on MATLAB platform, this paper applies experiment programming to the simulation ofsingle-target tracking and the experiment result shows that on the premise of the guarantee of targettracking precision, the energy consumption is reduced and the real application demand is satisfied.
