With the increasing development and popularity of Internet technology, more and more people begin to rely on the network. As the core equipment in the network, the router is responsible for the entire network connection. With the rapid advancement of the computing and Internet technology, the router of single-processor architecture already can’t satisfy the advance requirement.The distributed multi-processing architecture has become an important technology in the design of high-performance router, which has set new demand on the routing management at the same time.There are multiple nodes in distributed router, and the routing management needs to maintenance the data synchronization between nodes.For this critical point, the major router manufactures have their own solutions. This paper described a solution to the problem through the internship program in the ZTE. The authors designed and implemented the MUX module independently, and gave a general solution to data synchronization in a distributed architectureThis paper reviews the development history and current situation of the router, analyszes the distributed routing management model, and then designs and implements a data synchronization module based on C/S model. The paper first reviews the background and significance of the project. And then it describes some of the issues related to technology infrastructure. Then it describes the overall design of the data synchronization module and gives the implement details of our project. At last, the paper summarizes the entire development process of the system and points out some research directions for improvement.
