Distributed Virtual Reality System combines high-speed computer network with virtual reality technology, and provides the real-time access of virtual scene, interoperability, simulation, efficient platform of military deduction for people in different locations. Scene graph technology is the core technology of three-dimensional graphics applications, which organizes model data in the scene, is the express of real-world data, is the basis for virtual scene rendering and publishing, in a distributed virtual reality system, we need the traditional the scene graph designed to support the distribution, and to support the organization, rendering and publishing for vast data. Consistency technology is the core of distributed virtual reality system, which is base for achieving high concurrent multi-user with interoperability.Relying on the863Project "Viwo" virtual battlefield system, The work what have been completed by the author as follows:(1) independent design and achievement of the scene graph which separate the render function from base structure, participate in the design of large-scale scene scheduling and release strategy. In the design and realization of the scene service system architecture, with a distributed topology, the design for the scene service system has been realized.(2) Based on the Architecture with a distributed topology, design and implementation for scene graph cutting algorithm, the scene graph distributed conference and users browsing the interested region have been realized. In this paper, the distributed virtual reality system’s consistency problem and technology had been discussed and analyzed.(3) Abandoned the traditional timestamp algorithm which is not suitable for Operation sequencing, and used the local lag strategy which is combined with version marked and operation queue instead (4) In concurrency control, this paper design and implement the two-phase locking mechanism, ensuring the parallel modification operations and mutually exclusive modify shared data, and improve the efficiency of the system concurrent.Based on the above, the Viwo virtual battlefield system provides a global level scene for multiple people real-time online browsing and editing, while ensuring the consistent interpretation of each terminal on the scene.
