Silicon nanowires is a new type of one-dimensional semiconductor nano-material in recently.The scientific community of Electron-microscopy, Raman-spectroscopy, energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDS) and other methods are effective means of characterization of silicon nanowires. In the application research of other nanometer materials template, high-performance field-effect transistors, field emission display and many other devices has made remarkable results, and as a result the silicon nanowires may become a very potential material of nano-electronics field.This article applies a two-step system of primary batteries to manufacture the silicon nanowires which is a new method that based on a predecessor’s methods. The characters of this method are the preparation method is simple, environmental requirements is not high, and the cost is relative low, compared with otherwise the etching speed is faster, and it also has the advantages of easy attachment. And then this article makes a simple comparison with the results of the experiment on platinum-silicon primary batteries and nickel-silicon primary batteries under the different concentration of etching solution in different ways.Based on the study of generated sample morphology and optical properties of the original battery, it has found that using two-step preparation of silicon nanowires is easily oxidized. Under the laser irradiation it will quench soon, and PL properties are weaker than other methods. Two-step method of silicon line has certain toughness. In the process of making silicon nanowires, the effect on Ag and influence on PL characteristic of silicon nanowires are all waiting for our research, this study may be made the application of silicon nanowires simplified.At present, in the laboratory, the technology of silicon nanowires doped and nano-scale devices have been widely used, but some properties of silicon nanowires and the theory or the phenomenon that the researchers found remains further study and confirm. The two-step method in the course of the experiment also appeared a few new ideas which need to be researched and confirmed. Believing the researchers’further research can make the practical value of silicon nanowires get further improving.
